In September Bondora released the callback mechanism for its API. So far the Yakuza Robo Advisor placed a query every 5 seconds to get the current loan auctions, in sum 17280 queries per day. This isn’t necessary if I’m informed about new loan auctions automatically. Seems that some users had the same issue and Bondora released in this blog post the new feature.
Luckily I could introduce this change quite fast and the effect was visible immediately! Before in 8 hours 350 MB of data was transerred and 16 hours after the change nearly 50 MB of data was transferred – a nice network load reduction for my server. The new implementation is running now for approx. 2 weeks and it works like a charm – no loan auctions were missed!
